What is No Strings Badminton?
No Strings Badminton is a pay-and-play format built around one idea: you should be able to play badminton without needing a membership, a fixed partner, or a commitment to turn up every single week. You come when you can, pay for the session, and play.
The format was developed by Badminton England as a way to make the sport more accessible to adults who want regular games in a relaxed, social setting. Badminton Soldiers runs a No Strings session every Friday evening at Brentside High School in Ealing, West London.

Who is No Strings Badminton for?

Games are organised as doubles. We rotate players across courts throughout the evening so you play with different partners and opponents. This keeps the games mixed, helps beginners get involved, and means you meet new people every week.
There is no grading, no league tables, and no obligation to return the following week. Some players come every Friday. Some come once a month. Both are welcome.
The atmosphere is friendly and supportive. Regular players are encouraged to help newer players settle in. Mistakes are normal and part of learning. The aim is enjoyment, fitness, and gradual improvement.
